Eilish Collins Main declared herself the winner of the Democratic Party’s primary in the 146th District in Stamford Tuesday night, according to The Associated Press.

State Rep. David Michel, from Stamford, faced the challenge from Main, who had been endorsed by Stamford Democrats.

She worked to get Caroline Simmons elected mayor in 2021.

Michel was seeking a fourth term in Hartford.
